Jamaican Jerk Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup Jamaican jerk seasoning
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of pineapple
- 4 slices of red onion
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of cheese optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for grilling
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat
In a bowl, combine the ground beef and Jamaican jerk seasoning
Mix well and form into 4 burger patties
Season the patties with salt and pepper
Brush the pineapple slices with a little vegetable oil
Grill the burger patties and pineapple slices for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the burgers reach your desired level of doneness and the pineapple slices have grill marks
During the last minute of grilling, you can add a slice of cheese to each burger patty if desired
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes, or until lightly toasted
Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a Jamaican jerk burger patty, a grilled pineapple slice, a slice of red onion, and the top bun
Serve hot and enjoy your Jamaican Jerk Burgers!
